Director - China Desk Europe

Are you a seasoned business development leader, interested in joining an ambitious
international corporate and fund services firm? Do you have proven experience of
developing productive, long term partnerships with Chinese clients and their business
partners seeking to invest via Western European structures?
Job Description
 Serve as Commercial Director – Western Europe to attract inbound Chinese clients
and structures to Intertrust
 Collaborate with clients, business partners and colleagues to develop a productive
business pipeline and grow revenues
 Serve as effective partner of choice by demonstrating market knowledge, technical
and operational expertise
 Manage all aspects of business development activities related to the Chinese
market by providing timely information and quality service, including but not
limited to:
- Key client relationship management;
- Channels development and engagement
 Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth client on-boarding process.
 Ensure that all commercial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and
internal policies and standards.
Professional Competencies/Experience
 At least 10 years of related experience in business development roles, with
experience of private fund corporate and fund services administration
 Extensive knowledge of the market and proven track records for inward bound
Chinese investors/structures
 Solid experiences in advising clients on international structuring, fund set-up &
administration, as well as approaches to doing business with chinese investors
 Corporate service related professional networks in China preferred, e.g. law &
accounting firm, PE, asset management, private banks and wealth management
 Proven ability to articulate document and deliver a business development plan,
including financial targets and milestones
 Track record of successfully pitching for new business and achieving financial
 Extensive knowledge of Western European regulatory and legal landscapes,
including KYC & AML
 Strong commercial acumen, being able to capture new business opportunities
through the development of strong relationships with clients and business partners
 Excellent presentation, influencing and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to
communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
 Focus on results – drive to achieve tangible, measurable outcomes
 Excellent planning, organizing and commercial skills including strong financial
management capability.
 Attention to detail – ensure that the detail of every aspect of the service delivery is
known – including client specificities, operational processes, product range and
 Take full responsibility/accountability, maintaining a calm and pragmatic approach
to decision making
 Self-motivated, can-do, positive attitude
 Great team member as well as able to work independently

 University degree – accounting qualification an advantage
 Excellent English and Mandarin - additional languages an advantage
 Relevant professional qualifications highly preferred.
